History
Lev Nikolaevich Kekushev - is a great architect, "architect-encyclopedist" (as he was called by his contemporaries) played an important role in the formation of the Moscow version of the Art Nouveau style. Among the works of L.N. Kekushev and the designs of several buildings of the Imperial Moscow Technical School (IMTU). In addition to his architectural practice, Lev Nikolayevich taught at IMTU for two years (1989-1800). Simultaneously with the building of the Mechanical Laboratory, located in the depths of the school grounds, the Chemical Laboratory building was constructed according to L.N. Kekushev's design.

The task of the office was to create the entourage and the feeling of the interiors of the university of the late XIX - early XX century era.

Preservation and conservation: Monnier vaults, historic staircases, stucco decoration in the entrance area. The building will be adapted to the educational building of one of the leading technical universities of the country - Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
